How to set or re-set your business start date

The start date will not matter for Year 1. Your Year 2 start date is set upon closing Year 1.

The date in the business set up wizard sets the date for the VAT configuration if you are VAT registered.

To change your VAT start date kindly follow these steps:

  1. Click the VAT and Sales/Purchase VAT Control icon (alternatively select VAT Return>VAT Return from the main menu).
  2. Select the ‘Report Options’ icon.

  1. In here you can set your VAT start date and your monthly periods. Click OK to save the changes.
